Dr. Madsen was born and raised in Chicago completing her medical school curriculum before moving to Wisconsin to complete her residency in both internal medicine and pediatrics. She did practice for 3 years before moving with her husband, Mark, to Arizona where he has continued to work as a radiologist in the southeast valley.

She has been a partner in the practice since 2003. She handles complex medical problems of all ages. In addition, she performs well-woman care as she is uniquely qualified with her internal medicine qualifications. 

Her two sons are Arizona natives and she spends a lot of her "free time" going to sporting and school events for her children.                                      

Abigail is originally from New Jersey where her initial career path was in teaching. She subsequently moved to Arizona and went to nursing school where she practiced as a nurse for 10 years before completing her nurse practitioner program. 

She has been a part of Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics since completing her nurse practitioner program. She sees all aspects of general medical care for all age groups including well-woman care. In addition, she is undergoing additional training as a behavioral health practitioner -- an additional way that she can treat the "whole" person.

Her free time is taken up with raising her 4 children with the help of her husband, Steve, who is the director of finance for a large company in town. She loves to keep active by running and going to the gym. If she has additional  free time, it is happily spent inside of a book. The part of her career she enjoys the most is creating trusting relationships with her patients where she and her patients can work as a team to optimize health.                                                                      

Melanie is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who has been delivering compassionate, patient-centered care since 2017. With a broad background that includes experience in family practice, sports medicine, urgent care, hospice, and correctional health, she brings a well-rounded and adaptable approach to every patient interaction.

Known for building strong, trusting relationships with patients of all ages, Melanie is committed to empowering individuals to take charge of their health through education and personalized care. Whether managing chronic conditions, supporting end-of-life care, or treating acute injuries, she strives to make each visit meaningful and effective.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time outdoors and making the most of nature’s peace and beauty.

Elisa is a bilingual Family Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of healthcare experience, including eight years as a registered nurse in major Arizona medical centers and two years as a Nurse Practitioner. Her extensive bedside nursing experience built a strong clinical foundation while shaping her compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. 

After graduating from Northern Arizona University in 2024, Elisa dedicated her practice to serving diverse and underserved communities through community health clinics in Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson. As a bilingual provider, she is passionate about delivering culturally sensitive care that helps patients feel heard, understood, and empowered to take an active role in their health. 

Outside of work, Elisa is a devoted mother of two who enjoys Arizona's outdoors, fitness, and golf, and is actively involved in volunteering within her community.
